The Bank of England (BEO) has announced that older British £20 and £50 notes will no longer be legal tender after 30 September 2022.
At Tavex Denmark, we still buy the notes, but from 4. October 2022 older £20 and £50 notes are bought back at minus 50 % of the current exchange rate.
When exchanging expired pounds over £2,000, ask for a better rate.
